Start of Rangers-Tigers game delayed (AP)
Thursday’s Texas Rangers-Detroit Tigers game started 17 minutes late to accommodate an umpiring crew that encountered travel difficulties. Marty Foster, Fieldin Culbreth and Tim McClelland were scheduled to fly in from Atlanta on Thursday morning, but their Northwest Airlines flight was canceled. Paul Schrieber, the home plate umpire, already was in Detroit.
